De Colores Annual Celebration
The Center for Community Advocacy (CCA) is pleased to announce our milestone 35th Anniversary Celebration, “De Colores,” Friday, May 17, 2023 from 5 to 8 PM at the Monterey County Fairgrounds.
Celebrating “all the colors” in the rich tapestry of our community’s traditions, “De Colores” will commemorate CCA’s remarkable 35-year journey with even more of the magnificent folkloric design, color, music, and dance that was always the highlight of our Dia de los Muertos event of past years.
From the beginning, the mission of CCA has been to advance farmworker advocacy for improved housing and health conditions in our region. At its heart, CCA is an organization that amplifies the many and diverse voices of the people who are the backbone of Monterey County’s economy. At this celebration, our special heroes will be honored, along with our loyal community partners and sponsors.
“De Colores” will be an evening filled with the spirit of our community, including music, dance, color, and of course delicious food and drink to savor while you stroll with friends or enjoy at your table. Come straight from work to celebrate the heroes of CCA, springtime, and TGIF!
“We are immensely proud to mark 35 years of advocating for our communities. “De Colores” is a celebration of the vibrancy and resilience that define our mission. We invite everyone to join us for this special evening,” said Cesar Lara, CCA Board President.
Be there (“¡Presente!”) with your friends and community for this unique celebration of farmworker empowerment. Here’s to 35 years of making a difference!
